NIESA's Education Program offers both EMT and Paramedic certificate programs. Our programs combine a rigorous academic program with a wide diversity of clinical experiences. Our programs will make sure that you are ready to take The National Registry and The State of Michigan certification exams. We take pride in our teaching and offer state of the art equipment and training aids for our students. All classes are held at our NIESA headquarters facility and are taught by experienced, educated faculty members who have extensive EMS experience.
The job outlook for Emergency Medical Services Professionals is great. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities for EMS professionals will grow faster than average for all occupations through the year 2010. Continued population growth and urbanization as well a aging baby boomers will increase the demand for EMT's and Paramedics. As it gets harder to fill volunteer positions, paid EMT positions will increase in both cities and rural communities. Opportunities will be best for those with certifications. For further information, contact Steve McGuire at 517-655-3384 ext. 258 or via email at smcguire@niesa.org.
